During lockdown, on those daily 30 minute walks I was inspired by the flowers in other people's gardens and along empty streets. Whilst the world shut down, nature fought back and put on the best floral display in living memory. This time enabled me to focus on painting, stitchwork and interrogating my own practice.

The paintings are part of an on-going series. Some reflect events from 2020 which began with the devastating effects of climate change - the forest fires along Australia's south east coast.
